Hall County School Nutrition AssistantDivision: Support ServicesJob Goal: Provide excellent food and outstanding customer service to students, staff and visitorsReports To: School Nutrition ManagerDuties / Responsibilities:Reports to work promptly and leaves on timeAdheres to work hours and clocks in/out correctlyPrepares food in accordance with accepted Hall County procedures & policiesCooks food in accordance with accepted Hall County procedures & policiesServes food in accordance with accepted Hall County procedures & policiesStores food in accordance with accepted Hall County procedures & policiesFollows the daily work schedules accurately, promptly and efficientlyFollows standardized recipes for food preparation when availableFollows proper safety & sanitation proceduresKeeps work area neat & cleanParticipates in clean-up at the end of the dayIs able to perform all the physical demands of the job including but not limited to lifting, mopping, carrying & storingIs familiar with and supports school nutrition objectives, policies and proceduresMaintains a positive attitude towards the job, fellow workers, school staff, students and guestsMeets Hall County School Nutrition Program personnel standards, requirements and conditions of employmentRefers all concerns & problems to the School Nutrition ManagerIs committed to serving quality foodShows initiative and looks for ways to improve job performanceCares for equipment properly and promptly reports faulty equipment to the School Nutrition ManagerWorks independently and as a team memberAccepts added responsibility and performs other duties assigned by the School Nutrition ManagerShows a desire to learnShows a potential for promotionAccepts direction from School Nutrition Manager and follows instructionsAttends in-service annuallyAdditional duties may include financial accountability and computer transactionsRequired Education and Training:Minimum of High School Diploma or GEDSuccessful completion of training required by the USDA Professional Standards, Georgia Department of Education and Hall County School Nutrition within twelve months of initial employmentRequired Competencies:Ability to work well with fellow employees, teachers and studentMust be able to read, write and understand recipes, instructions and labelsMust be able to properly lift / carry up to 40 poundsRequired Experience:Food service experience preferredSubstitution in Hall County School Nutrition kitchen is preferred before permanent employmentEvaluated on an individual basisTerms of Employment:182 Days based on school calendarFlexibility in the number and time of assigned hours
