Peer Coordinator
$17 - $19 per hourSpectrum Health Systems
Location: Marlborough, MA - "The Recovery Connection" Peer Recovery Program Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Pay rate: $17.00-$19.00/hour Benefits:

- Recruiting volunteers for the Recovery Center and provides pre-service orientation and training to peer volunteers.
- Working closely with peer volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate program activities.
- Overseeing work performed by peer volunteers.
- Helping facilitate volunteer committees.
- Providing recovery coaching to participants.
- Performing case management activities regarding initial housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, education, etc.
- Coordinating continuing recovery referrals including scheduling of initial appointments.
- Demonstrating cultural competency in working with participants, employees, referral agencies and others from diverse ethnicities, cultures and backgrounds.
- Maintaining and preparing reports as directed.
- Assisting with crisis management and other emergencies as needed.
- One year of experience in a substance abuse program preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills
- Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
- Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting
