Job OpportunityPosition: Pediatric PACU RNShift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)This position involves working in a pediatric post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Candidates should possess pediatric nursing experience and hold a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.Position DetailsFloating: Yes, candidates may be required to float between units based on skill sets.On-call Requirement: NoWeekend Requirements: NoBlock Schedules: NoPatient Ratios: 1:1Special RequirementsPediatric experience requiredPALS certification requiredMust have a vehicle for this assignmentFacilitiesThe position may require floating to various locations including:Milwaukie, ORNewberg, ORPortland, ORHood River, ORWillamette Falls, ORSeaside, ORSaint Vincent, ORHospital HighlightsType of Facility: Short Term Acute CareTotal Staff Beds: 536Teaching Hospital: YesScrub Color: Any colorCharting System: EpicParking: No FeeJob Requirements & QualificationsMinimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experiencePrevious charge experience preferredRequired certifications: ACLS*, BLS, PALSExperience with pediatric ambulatory/outpatient care and PACU, including general anesthesiaProficient in pain assessment and managementPatient Care DetailsPatient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, AdolescentsDaily Census: Approximately 12 visitsNumber of Rooms: 2Number of Beds: 15Additional InformationThe pediatric PACU provides care for patients in pre-operative and post-operative phases, primarily focused on outpatient surgical procedures across various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, dental, and oral maxillofacial surgeries.Interdisciplinary support is available, including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
