It is engaged in the construction and sale of high quality homes designed principally for the entry-level and first time move-up markets. The Company also provides mortgage financing and title services for homebuyers through its mortgage and title subsidiaries. D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator for their Financial Services Branch. The right candidate will promote and provide business development, origination of loans, relationship management with customers and clients.Essential duties and responsibilities include interviewing mortgage applicants to understand and educate them on their financing options available, understanding the loan applicant's goals in order to advise and review potential loan programs that would best suit their needs and stated goals, being accessible to the buyer and individuals involved in a loan to answer questions and/or provide updates, maintaining reports and notes within the origination software and customer relationship management systems, reviewing new leads daily and contacting them to earn their business, daily pipeline management (loan application to funding process) to ensure that the loan process goes smoothly for all parties involved, making presentations on loan products in sales meetings and with Sales staff in builder communities, quickly responding to operations in order to facilitate an efficient loan process, providing necessary disclosures to a loan applicant within a timely manner in accordance with regulations, conducting all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company, being able to work overtime, being able to travel overnight, marketing the company's products and services accurately and effectively to potential business sources, developing sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate offices, providing weekend coverage in builder communities and grand opening functions, reviewing all documentation provided by borrower, checking for accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies, being familiar and complying with all company QC policies, reviewing updates to the manual, and attending meetings as necessary, providing input to management, and attending production/staff meetings, and infrequently, assisting in resolving post-closing/funding problems and attending loan closings when possible.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, one to two years of related experience and/or training, a vehicle and a valid driver's license, a licensed mortgage loan originator as required by state, general mortgage banking understanding (including but not limited to: lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory timelines), proficiency with MS Office and email, strong written and oral communication skills, ability to accurately and efficiently process and record a large volume of data, ability to act as a team player and be willing to accept constructive criticism, and bilingual preferred.Job: Financial ServicesPrimary Location: TX-RichmondOrganization: MortgageSchedule: Full-time
