Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by answering consumer questions or issues regarding product features, benefits, and availability. Engage with consumers to understand their needs and preferences; demonstrate and explain merchandise, and make suitable product recommendations. Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations. Perform all required cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, connecting consumer to loyalty program) efficiently and accurately. Contribute to store profitability by managing product flow: receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred; no specific education required. Up to 2 years of experience in a similar retail position or specialized area. Skills operating inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems, and various retail software tools. Minimum age 16 years. Job Conditions Frequent activity in a physical environment, including moving items up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, exposure to dust and noise, and occasional work in a place. Requires clear communication with others and availability for flexible retail schedules, which may change seasonally and based on business trends or forecasts.
