Associate Researcher I (Dr Elahi's Lab) - Neurology

Job Description The Associate Researcher I is a laboratory research position, responsible for independent conduct of routine and standardized experiments. This individual assists in the interpretation of research outcomes, performs assays to support research studies, and assists in the clerical and supply aspects of the laboratory environment. Responsibilities Conduct routine and standardized experiments using appropriate research techniques specific to the subject matter of the project. Analyze and assist in interpreting moderately complex results. Analyze and assist in interpreting laboratory results. Perform assays to support research studies. Maintain laboratory environment and assist in the upkeep of appropriate inventory, including ordering of supplies. Log and test samples; prepare and submit laboratory materials and specimens for shipment. Assist in new and unexpected research experiments and techniques. Assist in the collection, analysis, and review of experimental data for publication and presentation. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in science or related field required. No experience required; one year of research experience preferred. Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661 - $80,211.02 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
