Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Revenue Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $95,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage revenue accounting activities and ensure revenue is recognized accurately in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Review customer agreements and transaction terms to determine appropriate accounting treatment and identify potential reporting impacts.
- Oversee billing processes, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and related revenue reporting activities.
- Support month end, quarter end, and year end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries and account analyses.
- Partner with sales, legal, finance, and other business teams to improve processes, maintain controls, and support reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years focused on revenue accounting.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and experience applying revenue recognition guidance to complex customer arrangements.
- Previous experience with contract reviews, billing processes, revenue reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, revenue management platforms, and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
Qualifications:
- CPA credential is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience within SaaS, software, technology, healthcare technology, or subscription based business environments.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting matters to both finance and non finance stakeholders.
- Previous experience supporting audits, internal controls, process automation initiatives, and team mentoring.
