About The Role The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing customers with technical support and services, including preventive maintenance, installation, site surveys, demand and emergency services related to digital cinema equipment. What You'll Do Perform maintenance on cinema projection equipment, digital signage, sound systems, servers, and power supplies. Provide demand service for customers; determine and execute a support plan. Test electronic assemblies and components by connecting to various equipment (ohmmeter, voltmeter, ammeter, color meter, resistance bridge, oscilloscope, automated or computerized test equipment). Examine equipment and assemblies for defects; replace defective components, repair equipment, perform field testing, and resolve firmware and software issues. Direct investigation of customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivered condition of products. Record, analyze, and report production quality and status of customer complaints to appropriate personnel. Install electronic or digital equipment and conduct tests. Record activities in Field Point daily, including work description, expenses, hours, labor, and travel. Take ownership of duties and perform other assigned tasks. Travel in and out of market up to 70‑80% of the time; work weekends, holidays, and be on‑call as required. Qualifications Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with electronics related to the Pro‑AV market. Familiarity with computer and networking concepts and architecture. Experience with digital cinema equipment is preferred. Strong attention to detail. Proficient with MS Office. Exceptional customer service skills. Valid, state‑issued driver's license. Ability to stand, sit, squat, and bend for periods of time. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities. Excellent time‑management, organizational, and analytical skills. Self‑starter who can find and resolve issues as identified.
