WAREHOUSE INVENTORY COORDINATOR (SAP Required)

FULL TIME

LOCATION:                Katy, TX

REPORTS TO:           Warehouse Manager

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Inventory Coordinator supports daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, material movement, and order fulfillment. This position works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, Sales, Parts, Service, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure materials and equipment are accurately received, stored, tracked, picked, and shipped in a timely manner.

The position is responsible for maintaining accurate warehouse records and inventory transactions, supporting cycle counts and annual physical inventory, preparing shipments, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining an organized, safe, and professional warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working with computers and warehouse equipment, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with SAP, ERP/WMS systems, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or construction/heavy equipment parts is strongly preferred.

This position works primarily in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure and interaction with employees, customers, vendors, drivers, and sales personnel.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

• Assist with the annual physical inventory count, including preparation, counting, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Research inventory discrepancies and communicate issues to the Warehouse Supervisor and appropriate departments.
• Organize and maintain inventory according to established warehouse procedures, product codes, part numbers, size, type, or other designated classifications.
• Perform daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and material movement.
• Receive incoming materials, parts, equipment, and supplies; verify quantities, product identification, condition, and supporting documentation.
• Match purchase orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and other documentation to materials received.
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory transactions in SAP or other company systems .
• Maintain accurate inventory locations, part numbers, quantities, and product information.
• Perform regular cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory storage locations and identify damaged, obsolete, excess, or improperly stored materials.
• Maintain clear and accurate labeling of warehouse locations, parts, materials, and equipment.

Shipping & Receiving

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and delivery vehicles using appropriate material-handling equipment.
• Prepare customer, dealer, sales, service, and internal orders for shipment.
• Pick materials accurately based on customer orders, work orders, sales orders, requisitions, or shipping instructions.
• Verify items and quantities before shipment to reduce shipping errors.
• Prepare pallets, boxes, crates, and other materials for shipment.
• Package and secure materials appropriately to prevent damage during transportation.
• Prepare shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipments and deliveries.
• Stage completed orders in designated areas for customer pickup or carrier delivery.
• Receive and process returns and assist with documentation and inventory adjustments.

SAP / Administrative Support

• Maintain accurate warehouse transactions and records in SAP , including receiving, transfers, inventory adjustments, and other applicable transactions.
• Research SAP records and warehouse documentation to resolve inventory or order discrepancies.
• Review purchase orders, sales orders, requisitions, and other documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized warehouse files and supporting documentation.
• Prepare reports related to inventory, receiving, shipping, cycle counts, and warehouse activity as requested.
• Communicate inventory availability and discrepancies to Sales, Parts, Service, Purchasing, and other departments.
• Assist with tracking open orders, backorders, pending receipts, and items awaiting shipment.

Warehouse Organization & Safety

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and work area.
• Ensure warehouse aisles, exits, storage areas, and customer access areas remain clear and safe.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements applicable to warehouse operations.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company requirements.
• Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, spills, and other hazards promptly.
• Assist with maintaining proper storage and housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse.
• Support continuous improvement efforts designed to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, productivity, and delivery times.

Cross-Functional & General Support

• Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and other departments to prioritize daily warehouse activities.
• Provide responsive service to Sales, Parts, Service, customers, vendors, and employees requiring warehouse assistance.
• Assist with special warehouse projects, including inventory reorganizations, product moves, audits, and process improvements.
• Assist with preparation for customer visits, company events, and other activities requiring warehouse support.
• Assist with facilities-related duties and general warehouse maintenance as assigned.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements: 

·  High school diploma or equivalent required.

·  Minimum 2+ years of dedicated warehouse, inventory control, shipping/receiving, logistics, or material-handling experience

·  Hands-on Experience using SAP, ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.

·  Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and physical inventory.

·  Forklift certification or previous forklift experience preferred.

·  Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.

·  Ability to accurately read and interpret purchase orders, sales orders, shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory information.

·  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·  Good organizational and time-management skills.

·  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

·  Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, vendors, and drivers.

·  Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

·  Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials as required by the position.

·  Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

$24.00/hr. - paid bi-weekly (estimated annual $50K)
