Tax Manager – CPA Firm – $125K-$145K + Bonus
Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Job Description:
A well-established and highly respected public accounting firm in San Rafael, CA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing team. This is a confidential search conducted on behalf of our client. This role offers a clear path to partnership, a collaborative team culture, and a strong work-life balance outside of tax season.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns
- Advise clients on tax planning and financial strategies
- Conduct complex tax research on a variety of issues
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior and senior-level staff
- Manage and grow client relationships and accounts
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in public accounting required
- Active CPA or EA license required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong technical, analytical, and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and staff
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year, depending on experience
- Annual bonus: 5–15%
