Product Application Specialist
Addison
Communicate with representatives via phone, email, and other channels to provide product quotes and address technical inquiries related to HVAC products. Serve as a key technical resource supporting sales, engineering, and customers. Key Responsibilities Partner with Sales Managers to support product design and identify opportunities for improvement in sales support processes. Perform equipment selections using computer-based selection software. Deliver product and technical training to representatives and engineers. Collaborate on modifications to existing equipment and development of new product designs. Present technical product information to consulting engineers, specifying engineers, and industry groups. Author technical papers and industry-related articles as needed. Analyze customer applications and develop tailored HVAC system solutions, including field surveys and coordination with stakeholders. Prepare and deliver quotations for: Semi-custom HVAC systems Standard commercial HVAC products Develop and assemble submittal drawing packages Act as a liaison between engineering, production, sales representatives, and customers. Work with code organizations and regulatory officials for commercial and industrial product compliance. Stay current with evolving design standards, government regulations, and building codes. Travel to trade shows, seminars, and events to demonstrate product lines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (relevant experience may substitute for degree). Key Relationships Manager, Product Applications. Customers and External Stakeholders. Skills & Requirements Experience in technical inside sales or support for semi-custom HVAC and IAQ products. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred). Experience using HVAC selection software.
