Data Entry Clerk

LHH is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to support a mission-driven nonprofit organization in the Sacramento area. This position plays a critical role in ensuring contributions are processed accurately, donor records are maintained with integrity, and fundraising operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with databases and financial transactions, and passionate about supporting community-focused initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Process and record charitable contributions with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Maintain donor information and ensure records remain organized, current, and accurate.
• Assist with donation reconciliation activities and coordinate reporting for internal stakeholders.
• Prepare donor acknowledgments, appreciation letters, and other stewardship communications.
• Support database maintenance, including data cleanup, record updates, and duplicate management.
• Track contribution activity and generate reports as needed.
• Serve as a resource for donation-related inquiries and payment processing support.
• Assist with donor research and fundraising support initiatives.
• Coordinate administrative activities related to fundraising campaigns and special events.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and efficient donation processing workflows.
• Provide general administrative support to the development and fundraising team.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; additional college coursework preferred.
• Experience in data entry, donor services, nonprofit administration, accounting support, or a related administrative role.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience working with databases, CRM systems, donor management platforms, or fundraising software.
• Familiarity with payment processing systems and handling financial transactions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, customer-focused approach when interacting with donors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
