• Pay: $35.53. They will give an additional $2 if someone has Journeyman card.
  • $0.50 Shift premium for off shifts
  • $2.00/hr shift premium after 2,000 hours worked with Company OR immediate with commensurate skill set/Journeyman's Card (ALL SHIFTS)
• In May every year pay will increase when union negotiations begin.

Job Description

This role is a hands-on industrial maintenance position with a strong focus on mechanical work and complementary electrical responsibilities. You will perform approximately 70% mechanical and 30% electrical maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, including refrigeration and production systems. The position is ideal for a skilled maintenance mechanic/technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform approximately 70/30 mechanical versus electrical maintenance on industrial production and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain and repair ammonia refrigeration equipment, chillers, freezers, conveyor lines, air compressors, and other industry-specific machinery.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repair of pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, valves, bearings, motors, bushings, and related components.
• Swap out and replace motors, including 480V three-phase motors, ensuring proper installation and alignment.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting up to 480V single-phase and three-phase systems and diagnose minor electrical problems.
• Apply proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safety during maintenance and repair activities.
• Carry out MIG and stick welding on stainless steel equipment and components as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics to guide maintenance and repair work.
• Execute minor machining tasks, installations, and rigging activities for equipment moves or upgrades.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and support continuous operations.
• Use personal tools and appropriate equipment to complete maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
• Work assigned shifts and remain flexible to start up to two hours prior to scheduled shift times when needed.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with plant and union guidelines.

This is a Permanent position based out of Toledo, OH.

The pay range for this position is $73902.40 - $73902.41/yr.

- Weekly Pay - Bluecross Blueshield of Kansas - This will kick in 1st of the month after 60 days - 90 day probationary peroid - Will be provided company uniforms, they will put them on and leave them there each day for work - Climate controlled plant; around 62-65 degrees - 1-3yrs will receive 1 week vacation, 3-7yrs 2 weeks vacation - Will be in Union - 401K through John Hancock

This is a fully onsite position in Toledo,OH.
