Boasting a spacious 5000 square feet sports medicine facility, we are equipped with the latest technology and treatments that allow us to provide comprehensive care tailored to the individual needs of our patients. Our dedicated team consists of highly qualified professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This role is set in our outpatient office where you will collaborate closely with fellow clinicians to create individualized treatment plans. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a balanced work schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions to recognize and address their specific goals, needs, and challenges.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized and focused attention during each session.
• Develop and implement customized care plans utilizing a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities.
• Promote mobility and functional improvements through cost-effective interventions, minimizing reliance on medications.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging them to strive for optimal functioning and recovery.
• Enhance patients' overall quality of life by promoting strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through tailored fitness and wellness programs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and treatment details thoroughly, utilizing EMR software like WebPT effectively for efficient patient management.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and adjust plans based on patient feedback and monitoring of progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a primarily private insurance patient base, giving you the opportunity to work with a diverse population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or seeking preventative therapies. You will have the rewarding experience of guiding patients of varying ages and backgrounds toward achieving their rehabilitation goals in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Newport News, VA, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise routines.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient care documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, contributing to your understanding of patient needs and treatment modalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and their families, fostering an environment of trust and collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits
