Quality Control Inspector IIThe Quality Control Inspector II partners with production teams to ensure products meet quality standards before shipment. This role performs mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections throughout production; identifies and communicates quality concerns; and accurately documents inspection results and test data. When qualified and assigned, the inspector may support internal quality and safety audits, corrective and preventive actions, and the calibration process for inspection and test equipment, including status verification, record maintenance, and control of equipment that is due for calibration or found out of tolerance.ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of basic GD&T (blueprint reading)Mechanical/dimensional inspection of a diverse product linesReview/audit of required documentation: CoC, CoA, FAIRWrite DMRs (Defective Material Reports) as needed and coordinates RTV Tracker (Return to Vendor)Use measuring and monitoring equipment (calipers, height gages, pin gages, vernier's, etc.)Coordinate with Material Review Board, Planning, Purchasing or Quality Engineering as needed to resolve open issuesReview of COCs (Certificates of Conformance), Purchase Orders and Test documents to ensure completion accuracyInspect parts during in-process production and proactively communicate errors and systemic trends to the supervisorBasic knowledge of IPC standards- IPC 610, IPC 620, J-STD-001QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of one (1) year of experience in area of responsibilityIPC-A-610 certification is requiredJ-STD-001 certification is preferredAbout UsAbout Frontgrade At Frontgrade, we build mission-critical electronics that perform without compromise in the world's most demanding environments, from deep space to national defense.
