About the Job Tax Accountant Position: Great Opportunity for an Experienced CPA/Accountant. Certified Public Accounting firm is seeking an experienced CPA/Accountant with a minimum of six (6) years of taxation experience within a public accounting setting. We are looking for a self-motivated, talented, individual who will contribute to our team and grow with our firm. The ideal candidate will be organized, work effectively with staff and clients, and will have excellent time management skills. We are looking for individuals who pursue their interest in professional growth and would look forward to advancement opportunities with our firm. Preparation of Federal and State returns using the following common forms:
- 1040
- 1041
- 1065
- 1120
- 1120S
- 990
- Accounting degree.
- 6 plus years experience preparing tax returns for individual and entity clients.
- Tax software operating skills.
- Writing, math and communication skills need to be at a high level.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
- A CPA certificate is highly desired upon hiring and will be required within two years of employment.
- Must be able to work in a team setting.
- Must be able to perform bookkeeping and accounting functions.
- Tax Planning and Preparation for Businesses and Individuals.
- Estate Planning.
- Asset Protection.
- Audits, Reviews and Compilations of Business and Personal Financial Statements.
- IRS Representation for IRS Problem Resolution.
- Business Planning from Start Up to Ongoing Strategic Planning.
- Litigation Support Services.
- Bookkeeping Services.
- Health Insurance in the form of a Health Savings Account PPO Plan.
- Personal Time Off.
- CPE Training is provided so that the employee can keep up with the required continuing education required by the State Board of Accountancy.
- We provide a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan to our employees. We make contributions to the employee plan regardless of how much or how little the employee contributes to their own plan.
