Position Summary

Warren Valve is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Valves & Automation to lead the execution of a complex, high-value engineered valve and automation projects, for the energy and industrial markets. This position will have primary responsibility for project execution from order acceptance through final delivery and closeout.

The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination between customers, EPCs, Warren’s internal commercial and operational teams, international manufacturing partners, actuator and controls suppliers, logistics providers, and other project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing EPC, engineering equipment, or capital-project execution, with demonstrated experience managing schedules, technical documentation, supplier performance, international logistics, customer communication, and multiple concurrent project workstreams.

Experience in industrial valve manufacturing, engineered flow-control equipment, or valve automation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Customer Interface

• Own assigned projects following commercial/order handoff and manage execution through final delivery and closeout.

• Lead formal project kickoff meetings with customers, EPCs, end users, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

• Serve as the primary point of contact and project-execution interface for customers regarding project status, delivery timelines, and technical updates, maintaining professional, proactive communication throughout the project.

• Lead recurring customer project-status meetings, including conference calls, and provide clear updates regarding engineering, manufacturing, documentation, testing, logistics, schedule, and open actions.

• Develop and maintain project action-item registers, decision logs, risk registers, and responsibility matrices.

• Identify schedule, commercial, technical, and supply-chain risks early and drive corrective actions and escalation when required.

Planning, Scheduling & Expediting

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope and schedule, for each assigned project.

• Develop and maintain detailed project execution and production schedules covering engineering approvals, material procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, documentation, shipment, and final delivery.

• Establish project milestones and critical-path activities and monitor actual progress against contractual commitments.

• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines.

• Coordinate directly with domestic and international manufacturing facilities and suppliers to maintain production schedules and delivery commitments.

• Lead project expediting activities and manage a small team of project expeditors and documentation personnel.

• Provide management with concise reporting on schedule status, critical-path items, risks, recovery plans, and forecast delivery dates.

Engineering & Manufacturing Coordination

• Coordinate drawing and technical-document submittals between customers, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and Warren personnel.

• Track customer review and approval of general arrangement drawings, data sheets, procedures, inspection and test plans, and other required technical documentation.

• Coordinate with Warren sales, engineering, planning, production, quality, supply chain, and automation personnel to ensure project requirements are accurately communicated and executed on time.

• Coordinate valve, actuator, mounting, controls, accessories, testing, coating, and other project-specific requirements where applicable.

• Support development and execution of inspection, testing, FAT, witness, and release activities.

International Logistics & Delivery

• Plan and coordinate domestic and international transportation for large, engineered equipment.

• Work with manufacturers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to establish shipping plans and maintain project delivery schedules.

• Understand and administer applicable Incoterms, freight responsibilities, transfer points, international shipping documentation, and customer delivery requirements.

• Coordinate equipment dimensions, weights, packing lists, shipping releases, freight planning, and delivery sequencing.

• Proactively manage potential transportation, customs, port, and supply-chain disruptions.

Documentation, Quality Records & Project Controls

• Establish and maintain organized project documentation and transmittal processes.

• Hold contract reviews and upload them to the Quality Management System, keeping current and accurate records, risk assessments, drawings, progress reports, and post-project reviews.

• Manage master ITPs, drawings, and specifications required for each project.

• Manage drawing registers, document registers, submittal schedules, revision control, manufacturing records, test documentation, material certifications, packing documentation, and final data packages.

• Maintain all order-related documentation, including coating reports, test charts, MTRs, customer approvals, packing slips, and other required project records.

• Ensure contractual documentation requirements and customer submittal deadlines are met.

• Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, approvals, changes, commitments, and customer decisions.

• Coordinate project closeout and final documentation packages.

Commercial & Cross-Functional Management

• Partner closely with Sales during order handoff to ensure commercial commitments, exclusions, clarifications, delivery requirements, and customer expectations are clearly understood.

• Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning, Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Sales throughout execution.

• Communicate daily with all departments to foster teamwork and troubleshoot issues.

• Recognize potential scope changes and commercial impacts and escalate them before additional work or cost is incurred.

• Support change-order documentation and commercial discussions as required.

• Monitor project execution against the approved scope, schedule, and budget.

• Provide regular project-status updates to internal and external stakeholders, including Warren leadership and planning teams.

• Maintain organization and ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of project management experience in EPC, engineering equipment, industrial manufacturing, energy infrastructure, or CAPEX-project environment.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple suppliers, manufacturing locations, and internal functional groups.

• Strong understanding of project scheduling, expediting, documentation control, manufacturing milestones, inspection/testing, and logistics.

• Experience professionally interfacing with EPCs, end users, engineering organizations, suppliers, and senior customer stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to lead customer meetings and communicate difficult schedule or execution issues professionally and clearly.

• Strong organizational and leadership skills, including experience directing project coordinators, expeditors, document-control personnel, or similar resources.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office environment.

• Comfortable utilizing modern AI platforms and productivity tools to improve project planning, reporting, analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.

• Ability and willingness to quickly learn new ERP, production-planning, document-management, quality-management and project-control systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to travel domestically and internationally as project requirements dictate.

Preferred Experience

• Industrial valve manufacturing; ball, gate, globe, or other engineered valve products.

• Valve automation, including pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuators, controls, and accessories.

• Oil & gas pipeline, midstream, LNG, petrochemical, power, or similar energy infrastructure.

• EPC project execution and large engineered-equipment or packaged-equipment projects.

• International manufacturing, supply-chain management, freight logistics, and Incoterms.

• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), inspection, and customer witness activities.

• CAPEX equipment procurement and execution, document-control requirements, and ERP/MRP production-planning environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent relevant industry and project-execution experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. PMP certification is preferred but not required.

Customers should receive accurate, professional communication; manufacturing partners should have clearly defined requirements and priorities; internal Warren stakeholders should understand upcoming deliverables and risks; and management should have reliable visibility into schedule, documentation, logistics, testing, and delivery status.

The role is expected to anticipate problems rather than simply report them, drive accountability across multiple organizations, and maintain disciplined execution from purchase order through final project closeout.
