Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6–7 nurse-to-patient ratio across private-room settings
• Care for a diverse patient population including post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Monitor and manage patients on remote telemetry (monitored off-unit by a monitor technician); no on-unit strip reading required
• Administer drips including Heparin and comfort-measure medications as indicated; no cardiac drips required
• Support patients on BiPAP, CPAP, and High Flow oxygen, all managed in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Adhere to infection control protocols, including the ability to be assigned to both standard and isolation-designated patient cohorts simultaneously

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — any history of hits or actions on professional license must be disclosed at time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Comfort with Medical Surgical patient populations including palliative, hospice, and isolation-designated patients
• Ability to meet every-other-weekend (Saturday/Sunday) requirements and two Friday shifts per scheduling period
• Willingness to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with post-surgical or orthopedic patient populations
• Familiarity with remote telemetry monitoring workflows
• Experience with dialysis, palliative care, or end-of-life patient care
