Soils Lab Technician / Geologist — Entry to Experienced (ESOP)

Soils Lab Technician - Geologist (entry level or experienced) CTL Engineering is hiring for a Lab Technician / Geologist for our Soils Lab! Entry level/new grads in Geology are encouraged to apply! Experienced Geologists are encouraged to apply as well! We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical , construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry. Highlights : This role will initially report to our Soils Lab located on Fisher Rd (west Columbus). It is estimated that in l ate 2026/early 2027 , the new labs will be built and the role will then be b ased out of our new Corporate HQ in New Albany . ** T his is more than a job posting ... it's an invitation to bring your expertise to a company where innovation and passion converge seamlessly. ** Key Responsibilities : Performs various laboratory tests to determine soil properties, such as particle size distribution, compaction, and strength. Accurately records test results and prepares reports, ensuring clarity and completeness. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Adheres to strict safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory environment. Collaborates with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to provide relevant soil information. Qualifications & Skills : Geologist (or training in this discipline) is a strong plus, but is not required. Entry level/new grads in Geology are encouraged to apply! Experience in laboratory analysis and soil sample collecting.
