Full Time Bakery Manager

Job Overview: Cub Cottage Grove is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Full Time Bakery Manager! The Bakery Manager manages the bakery department to promote sales, achieve profit margins, labor goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates. Job Responsibilities: Positively effective department labor and productivity factors through efficient task organization and delegation Train and evaluate bakery department personnel Assist with customer questions or requests Plan, set, and maintain bakery cases Organize, direct and assist with daily department functions Performs baking and product preparation Monitor and assist in directing bakery department sanitation to ensure proper condition Order and receive bakery shipments correctly Job Requirements: Equipment operation (shrink wrap, label machine, bread slicer, knives, bakery racks, etc.) Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time Able to work in various temperatures and wet surfaces The position requires ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service. Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available. Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing. Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays. Must be 18 years of age and older. Physical Requirements: Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
