Details Float pool position covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units, including children, adolescent, and adult populations Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 11:00-23:30) Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Locked inpatient unit setting Uses Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR charting system Float within scope to meet facility needs across age populations as scheduling requires May be required to serve as charge RN during shifts Requirements Active RN license (MD or Compact) required in-hand at time of consideration; temporary licenses not accepted Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required 6 months to 1 year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Strong clinical judgement, assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required Must pass drug screen on first attempt; medical marijuana cards not accepted Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland via Livescan prior to start Additional Information Provide direct patient care across multiple behavioral health units serving diverse age groups Psychiatric facility with 337 total staffed beds Navy blue scrub color required Free employee parking available on campus Local candidates accepted One pre-approved RTO request allowed; must be submitted with initial profile First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position Orientation occurs every other Thursday with required onboarding modules completed during orientation and annually American Traveler Job ID P-750367.
