Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department in an oncology-focused unit. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Monitor patient health conditions and implement appropriate interventions as needed.
• Administer medications, perform IV starts, and manage telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and care plans using electronic medical records (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department is required.
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is mandatory.
• Oncology experience is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records is required.

Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Skills Required

• Proficient in intravenous (IV) starts
• Experience with telemetry monitoring

Patient Ratio

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4.

Request Time Off (RTO)

Submission of RTO is required at the time of application. A consecutive 7-day leave may be granted at the facility's discretion during a 14-week contract.
