Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

This position requires night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Schedule includes weekdays and some weekends. Rotating holidays are part of the commitment. Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Estimated patient ratios are variable. Patient age groups include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Experience with Epic charting system is necessary. Skills required include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, and management of dysrhythmias. The emergency department sees a daily census of 195 patients with approximately 110 visits per day. The unit has 28 rooms and 212 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy. Patient diagnoses cover a broad spectrum typical for an emergency department. This role involves care for emergency department patients and special procedures related to a trauma level 3 facility. Candidates must be made aware of the urgency of the credentialing process. Compliance with credentialing timelines is critically important. References are required from professional sources, specifically from management or leadership roles. Education must be accredited by a recognized nursing program.
