Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois state licensure/certification for School Social Work
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participation in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills
• Familiarity with a variety of assessment and intervention strategies to support student well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ emotional, behavioral, and social needs through observations, interviews, and direct collaboration with staff and families
• Provide individual and group counseling to promote emotional, behavioral, and social development
• Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to specific student needs
• Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff, connecting them to community agencies and services
• Contribute actively to IEP meetings by sharing observations and making recommendations for services or accommodations
• Offer crisis response and intervention as needed to ensure a safe and supportive school environment
• Conduct professional development and training for staff on social-emotional topics and best practices
