Vice President, Solution Architect II

Vice President, Solutions Architect At BNY, a global financial services company, we empower employees to grow and succeed. We are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect to lead architectural initiatives across our Data Solution and Services Platform team. Location Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA – Hybrid Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality architecture and design solutions that comply with bank policies. Collaborate with architecture, development, infrastructure, and stakeholder teams to develop technology and business solutions. Strategize and contribute to enterprise‑level technical initiatives on architecture and design. Provide architecture consulting services on complex enterprise issues. Define target‑state architecture for domain‑specific initiatives and promote common architecture designs, methodologies, standards, and patterns across the enterprise. Lead research, definition, and implementation of architecture governance and design disciplines. Drive value from the bank’s IT assets through stable, high‑performance, reusable, and flexible solutions. Identify and mitigate architectural risks, gaps, and emerging trends. Coordinate with platform group leads to create reusable, scalable components and manage interdependencies. Monitor and report project and application status to ensure alignment with strategic direction and best practices. Manage cross‑platform architecture decisions and champion commercial, resiliency, and compliance outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 12+ years of experience in technology and architecture roles within the securities or financial services industry. 15+ years of industry experience, with strong expertise in distributed stack, data platforms, on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments. Proficiency in one or more of the following domains: Asset Servicing: Global Custody, Fund Accounting, Middle‑Office Solutions Issuer Services: Depository Receipts, Global Capital Markets Clearance and Collateral Management: Securities Clearance, Equity, Fixed Income Markets: Global Markets Trading, Liquidity and Finance, or Buy‑Side Trading Solutions Structured Debt: Asset‑backed securities, collateral debt Credit Services: Securities‑backed Lending, Credit Solutions Treasury Services: Liquidities Management, Trade Finance and Processing, Clearing and Settlement Expertise in architecture frameworks, industry standards, and BNY applications. Experience delivering solutions that span multiple business units or products. Agile development experience preferred. Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and problem‑solving skills. Solution‑oriented mindset with passion for innovation and execution.
