Accounting Manager

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supervising accounting staff, managing the month-end close process, and supporting financial reporting and compliance efforts. The Accounting Manager will serve as a key leader within the Accounting Department, working closely with the Controller and cross-functional departments to ensure efficient financial operations and adherence to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with NetSuite ERP is required. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll support, and General Ledger activities Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members to ensure high performance and professional growth Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting systems Prepare and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules Monitor cash flow activity and assist with forecasting and budgeting processes Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls Assist the Controller with audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Sales, Logistics, and Human Resources to resolve accounting-related issues Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and increased efficiency within accounting functions Support ERP system optimization and ensure accurate financial data management within NetSuite Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures Provide financial analysis and reporting support to leadership as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis Knowledge of GAAP and internal control practices Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines Preferred Qualifications CPA designation preferred but not required Experience supporting manufacturing cost accounting functions Experience with inventory accounting and fixed asset management Experience implementing process improvements or ERP enhancements Work Environment On-site role supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation Collaborative environment with regular interaction across multiple departments Leadership position requiring responsiveness to business needs and operational priorities May require occasional extended hours during month-end close, audits, or special projects What We’re Looking For Strong leadership presence with a hands-on management style High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism Strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail Ability to build relationships across departments and support operational goals Process-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement Dependable, adaptable, and committed to organizational success Note This position supports the Controller by managing the daily accounting function and accounting staff, allowing the Controller to focus on financial strategy, compliance, audits, executive reporting, and organizational financial planning. #J-18808-Ljbffr
