Child Nutrition Manager-Elementary

Primary Purpose Responsible for on-site leadership of campus school nutrition operations. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meet time constraints set by menu requirements established by Central Office administration. Ensure all operations follow safe food handling standards. Qualifications Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Must have or obtain State Food Manager's Certificate/ServSafe Certification and must retain certification. Must meet professional standards training requirement of 10 hours annually. Special Knowledge/skills: Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation Ability to lead a diverse team of employees Effective planning and organizational skills Knowledge of first aid and safety plans PC software literate Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in school food service preferred Minimum of two years of experience in food service management preferred Minimum of one year of experience in school food service management preferred Benefits As an full-time employee of Rockwall Independent School District: * The District pays $361.00 towards health insurance premium for eligible employees through Teacher Retirement System (TRS). * RISD pays the premium for a $20,000 term life insurance policy with Standard. * The District offers a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan.
