TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Los Alamos, New Mexico, 87544!
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct post-anesthesia care to patients in a 3-bed PACU unit within a 47-bed acute care facility
Support Preop functions as part of a shared PACU/Preop position
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 in accordance with unit standards
Respond to on-call cases within 30 minutes of notification during nights and weekends
Care for a primarily adult patient population, including periodic ENT cases
Document and manage patient care using CQI and Medhost EHR systems
Required Qualifications
Active RN license
BLS certification required at time of submission
ACLS certification required at time of submission
PALS certification required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
All required certifications must be held at time of submission - certifications are not available on site
Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
Combined Preop and PACU experience
Familiarity with common surgical cases such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy
Experience with CQI and/or Medhost EHR platforms
