Hospital Coordinator

Responsibilities not to be considered all-inclusive. Obtain preauthorization for all hospital surgery that requires prior authorization. Document all phone calls made concerning the patient on their chart and in the database. Call patients to discuss insurance predeterminations and deposits prior to surgery, and/or meet with them to have them sign all financial paperwork. Mail x-rays and models to insurance companies for predeterminations. Scheduling and obtaining pre-certification for all radiology testing (i.e. CT scans, MRI, bone scans). Collect surgery deposits 2 weeks prior to surgery date. Enter patient hospital charges into the computer.
