Stockroom Inventory Specialist
Location: Newark, DE
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $27.00 $29.00
Position Overview
This position will head the project for streamlining our clients inventory process in their stockroom. The role will start ASAP, and is estimated to take upwards of 36 months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong inventory and manufacturing experience to take ownership of a key operational initiative.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Create parts inventory, quantities and locations and load them into our SAMS (Strategic Asset Management System)
- Create within that system a critical spares list with quantities and locations
- Assist in creating an SOP to checkout parts within the system
- Develop a cycle count process
This work would be done in a dirty and hot environment, and candidates should be comfortable working under these conditions.
Training & Support
The Plant Engineer, Maintenance Lead, and Maintenance Coordinator will be at your disposal for training on their SAMS system, to guide you through the manufacturing sites processes, and to answer any questions that come up while you are on the project.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Proficiency with implementing inventory processes, SOPs, and working within inventory systems
- Experience with Logistics is a huge plus
- Ability to commit to the duration of the project until all goals are met
