Patient Transportation Specialist

The Patient Transportation Specialist provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing friendly respectful interaction and role modeling of positive socialization to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. This position is responsible for providing excellence in customer service to all patients and referral sources and for representing the facility and its programs to the community. Key responsibilities include providing encouragement and support to patients in order to help patients meet their outpatient treatment plan goals and objectives. Provide a positive experience for patients at all times. Provide a transportation experience which treats all patients with respect and dignity at all times and is encouraging and supportive of the patient. Greet each patient(s) at the van door and opens the van door for each patient assisting the patient into and out of the van as indicated.

Qualifications requirements include: high school graduate or equivalent, valid Class B drivers license, 21 years or older, good driving record, may be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours. Desire and ability to interact positively with others including patients and referral sources and be a role model is required.
