Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Part-Time CRNA  to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Anesthesiology services provided include obstetrical, general, and regional anesthesia, as well as emergency and trauma anesthesia.
• The CRNA will have the unique opportunity to practice in a wide variety of cases including Obstetrics and to work with a large team of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
• The work hours are flexible, and a wide variety of shifts are available.

• CRNA to MD is 1:1 ratio.
• Under physician supervision, with latitude for individual professional judgement.
• Respond to calls outside of the Operating Room for resuscitative measures and pain management.
• Capable of interviewing patients for pre-operative assessment and evaluation, select the anesthetic agent, technique, and the use of all anesthesia-related drugs appropriate to the individual patient.
• Manages the anesthesia process which includes the induction, maintenance, and the emergence from anesthesia.
• Capable of setting up and using all equipment, available in the Operating Room and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), used for the management of anesthesia and anesthesia monitoring.
• Responds to calls outside the Operating Room for endotracheal intubation, cardioversions, conscious sedation, and participates in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
• Responsible for preparation and daily maintenance and operation of anesthetic equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of anesthetic medications and supplies.

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
• Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through the NBCRNA.
• Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license and registration.
• Graduate degree in nurse anesthesia (Master’s or Doctoral degree, as applicable).
• Maintain all required professional certifications and credentials as required by PAGNY and the facility.

Wages and Benefits Include:

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $165,000**- $171,600**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
