Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader to join our team in Burlington, NC.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist the supervisor with the day to day operations of the Department/Lab Name departmentSend daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to managementAssist with the training of new hires and the development of current employeesKeep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employee performance and any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilitiesDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPsMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityPrepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventive maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology2 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experiencePreferred QualificationsASCP and/or AMT Certifications6 months or more of supervising or leading a teamAdditional Job StandardsIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExperience working in a high volume laboratory environmentAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsComfortability making decisions in a changing environmentAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
