General Urology Opportunity: Award-winning Health System | Northwest Indiana | Chicago Metro Commute

A large, physician-friendly Midwestern health system is seeking an additional General Urologist to join an established and growing practice located in the Chicago metropolitan area. This opportunity offers immediate patient volume, strong referral support, access to robotic surgery, and the ability to practice broad-spectrum urology within a stable, well-resourced organization. The hospital is a part of one of the largest acute-care hospitals in the Northwest Indiana region and is growing to meet the needs of the community. Most urological subspecialties can be supported in the context of a general urology position. The incoming physician will join one experienced provider who has been with the system for over 10 years, one urology-dedicated APP who assists in clinic rounding, and a highly-skilled support staff which includes 4 MAs and 1 Surgical Scheduler.

Facility Highlights:

• Privileges at both a 63-bed acute-care community facility that offers nearly 50 medical specialties and a 220-bed hospital.
• Urology Clinic conveniently located centrally between both admitting hospitals; all facilities are located within a 5 mile radius.
• Collaboration in Operating Room working with DaVinci XI robotics.
• Onsite Equipment includes two fully equipped procedure rooms, Cystoscope, and Transrectal Ultrasound.

Position Highlights:

• General Urology position, but subspecialty interests are welcome. Robotic/Laparoscopic experience is preferred but not required. Comprehensive general urology practice with opportunities to treat BPH, stone disease, men's health conditions, urologic cancers, and a wide range of endourologic, minimally invasive, robotic, and office-based procedures.
• Call will be 1:4 with support of a local group in the community. Hospitalists try to handle all immediate cases, so call is not burdensome. Shared call rotation with local support, and limited travel between facilities, all located within close proximity.
• Ability to step into immediate volume for an experienced provider and supportive administration with mentorship available for new grads.
• Even split between OR and Clinic. Average outpatient volumes: 20 - 25 patients per day, average inpatient volume: 5 - 10 patients per day.
