Production Technician

Plant TechnicianTo be considered for this role you must be able/willing to work any of the listed shifts, as we cannot guarantee placement on a certain shift at this time.Plant technicians are hired as members of a high-performance work team. Technician work teams are responsible for:Operating production linesKeeping production flowingMeeting performance goalsMaintaining the high level of quality that consumers expect from our productsEssential functions of this position include:Work in and out-of-doors in the seasonal ranges of temperature and humidity.Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Enter confined spaces – including tanks and other normal work areasClimb stairs, ladders, platforms, etc. on equipment, tankage and building structures for the purpose of inspecting, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting.Bend at the knees and bend and twist the back for the purposes of operating and maintaining equipment.Stand on concrete floors for periods of up to 12 hours/shift.Drive a material handling tractor backwards in areas of high traffic and close quarters.Operate high speed equipment requiring high levels of physical coordination and sensory capability (i.e. auditory, visual, olfactory, touch).Consistently attend work during normally scheduled work hoursWork any scheduled shifts, weekends, up to 12 hours and occasional overtime. (Rotating shifts – Plant specific)Technicians perform various types of work such as:Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-speed making, packing and other production related equipmentUsing basic hand and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.Performing preventative maintenance on equipmentTechnicians are expected to get involved, take charge of situations, demonstrate ownership, confront business-related problems and continuously improve the equipment and processesTechnicians are responsible for following all safety and good manufacturing practices as detailed in plant proceduresQualifications:PRODUCTION EXPERIENCE (2 yrs.
