Lochner, an Egis company is recruiting for a Senior Cost Estimator with 10+ years of diverse estimating experience. Transit agency and transportation project experience with a focus in rail, highway and aviation.

Multiple opportunities available with hybrid and remote options. Can be based out of any of our U.S. offices with preferred locations in: Denver, CO. Los Angeles, CA or Seattle, WA.

Your impact:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates at the preliminary, intermediate, final, and release-for-construction stages of design.
• Review estimates prepared by consultants and contractors.
• Prepare cost estimates for analyzing value engineering studies.
• Assist in constructability reviews.
• Support negotiations for settling contract change modifications and potential claims.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 10 or more years of estimating experience
• Diversified experience in transportation projects with emphasis on rail, highway and aviation
• Transit agency owner costs experience preferred
• Experience with estimating software (HCSS Heavybid preferred)
• Professional Certifications preferred
• Familiarity with FTA (Federal Transit Administration) guidelines and funding requirements

Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (such as:

• HCSS HeavyBid
• Bluebeam or similar tools
• Agtek

Strong understanding of:

• Construction methods and materials
• Project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CM/GC, PDB)
• Transit project components and systems

Work Environment
