Job Description

Position Summary:
The Food Service Worker supports daily cafeteria operations by preparing, serving, and maintaining a clean and safe food environment for students and staff. This role plays an important part in ensuring meals are served efficiently while following all health, safety, and nutrition guidelines.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, including washing, cutting, and assembling ingredients
Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, warmers, and dishwashers
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
Restock food, supplies, and utensils as needed
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Follow portion control and meal guidelines set by the school or district
Support team members to ensure timely meal service

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous food service or cafeteria experience is a plus
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable and punctual

Prerequisites for Hiring Consideration:

Willingness to complete a Live Scan Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Current T.B. test with clear results.
Must successfully complete the Mandatory Abuse Report Training course.
