About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Ortho. License: Active RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: Experience in post-operative care management with a multidisciplinary team. Description: Unit profile includes 24 beds with patient ratios of 1:5 and a maximum of 1:6. On days, there is 1 unit secretary available, and on both days and nights, there are 2 techs available. Type of equipment utilized includes Hill Rom, Pyxis, and Welch Allyn. Documentation is completed through Meditech. Scheduling requires every other weekend. Floating policy to be determined based on house needs. Advanced skills required for the position include managing post-operative care. Dress code consists of royal blue scrubs, with black, white, or royal blue jackets allowed. The unit has received patient experience awards for multiple quarters. The patient population consists exclusively of post-operative and trauma patients. Pathways available for individual surgeons/physicians provide resources for easy orientation and familiarity with the unit. The facility is recognized for a strong culture and managerial support.
