This role is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and clearing titles for commercial real estate transactions throughout New York while partnering with attorneys, lenders, developers, underwriters, and internal teams to facilitate successful closings.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of New York title practices, commercial real estate transactions, and title insurance principles. They are a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex title issues while delivering exceptional client service. A law degree is welcome but not required.Responsibilities:Review title searches, commitments, surveys, and related documents for commercial real estate transactions throughout New YorkAnalyze title reports and identify defects, encumbrances, liens, easements, and other title issues requiring resolutionCoordinate title clearance efforts with attorneys, lenders, developers, surveyors, underwriters, and other transaction participantsPrepare and review title commitments, endorsements, and clearance requirements in accordance with NY title practicesEvaluate underwriting risk and recommend practical solutions for complex title mattersCollaborate with national title underwriters to facilitate timely and accurate closingsInterpret NY property records and resolve ownership, conveyancing, and recording issuesManage multiple commercial transactions simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and service expectations are metProvide exceptional customer service by communicating proactively with clients and internal partners throughout the transaction processMaintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company underwriting guidelines and industry best practicesAssist in special project and other responsibilities as neededSkills and Experience: 5+ years of commercial title experience, with a strong focus on New York transactionsThorough understanding of New York title insurance practices, title clearance, and commercial real estate transactions Experience reviewing title commitments, surveys, and related real estate documentsAbility to independently analyze and resolve complex title issuesStrong written and verbal communication skills with client-focused approachAbility to prioritize multiple transactions in a fast-paced environmentJuris Doctor (JD) or equivalent education preferred but not requiredExisting relationships within the New York commercial real estate or title industry are a plusPay Details:The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $225,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting.
