Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients/families and the community. Accomplishes this by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care and supervising the work of the licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of recent nursing experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or Emergency Department. Prior experience with moderate sedation and post-anesthesia recovery care. Competency in managing vascular access devices (central lines, ports, PICCs). Familiarity with contrast administration and recognition/management of adverse reactions. Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring and interpreting cardiac/respiratory rhythms. Knowledge of sterile technique and assisting with image-guided procedures (e.g., biopsies, drain placements, angiograms, embolizations). Proficiency with Radiant. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and anesthesia teams. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies.

Work Days:

M-F evenings occasional weekends w/ some holidays and some on call responsibilities
