The Arc of Ocean County is hiring compassionate and dependable Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and meaningful support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in community residences throughout Ocean County. Position Information Employment Type: Part-Time Available Shifts: Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Weekend Day & Evening Shifts Available Weekend Availability Required Pay: $20.70 - $24.70 per hour Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly Shift Differential Opportunities Overtime Opportunities Available What You\'ll Do Support Daily Living Assist individuals with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, housekeeping, laundry, and other daily routines Encourage individuals to build independence by developing practical life skills and making everyday choices Promote a clean, comfortable, and welcoming home environment Encourage Community Engagement Accompany individuals to recreational events, appointments, shopping trips, volunteer opportunities, and other community activities Foster social interaction and encourage meaningful participation in community life Safely transport individuals using agency vehicles when assigned Provide Compassionate, Person-Centered Care Deliver individualized support based on each person\'s goals, abilities, and support needs Assist individuals with behavioral, medical, and emotional challenges while maintaining patience, professionalism, and respect Protect the dignity, privacy, and rights of every individual served Work as Part of a Team Maintain accurate electronic documentation, including daily progress notes, medication records, and required program documentation Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, families, healthcare professionals, and interdisciplinary team members Follow agency policies and residential procedures to ensure quality services and regulatory compliance Why You\'ll Love Working Here At The Arc of Ocean County, you\'ll do more than provide care—you\'ll help individuals build confidence, strengthen independence, and enjoy meaningful lives within their communities.
