Structural Engineer, Lead A leading structural engineer role in our national security mission, focusing on digital engineering and finite element modeling to drive the creation and evolution of airframe structural plans. Responsibilities Lead and support engineering teams in analyzing, designing, and developing airframe structural systems. Translate real‑world customer needs into technical specifications and engineering solutions. Build and evolve finite element models using data from OEMs and structural test fixtures. Integrate digital engineering and finite element modeling to produce comprehensive technical plans. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in civil or government aerospace industry. 5+ years of experience with finite element modeling using FEMAP or Patran. Experience leading multiple collaborative projects of various scales through implementation. Experience with CAD tools such as Catia or SolidWorks. Ability to create/complete finite element models using load data from OEMs or structural test fixtures. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering. Secret clearance (required); Top Secret clearance is a plus. Nice to Have Ability to create CAD designs of aircraft primary or secondary structural assemblies, installations, and detail parts. Master’s or Doctorate degree in Engineering disciplines. Compensation and Benefits Annualized salary range: $112,800 to $257,000.
