Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit at a large academic hospital in Cleveland, OH
• Rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shifts may rotate based on operational needs; the facility will make reasonable efforts to honor preferred shift
• Potential to float to other Med/Surg units and the ED to care for the same patient population
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — no pending applications accepted
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — all must be active and in hand
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required; travel experience counts toward this requirement
• All required certifications must be active at time of consideration — pending certifications will not be accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months required for consideration — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• No active license violations or open background case hits

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score is required, with a maximum of two attempts allowed
• Holiday coverage required — traveler must work at least every other holiday
• Local candidates are welcome to apply
• Former permanent or per diem employees must wait at least one year from their previous end date before working at this facility
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 consecutive months; a 6-month break is required before returning to any facility within this health system
• Nicotine-free requirements do not apply to nurses in this role
• RTO requests must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
