Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Possibility of caring for patients on ventilators
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00 PM-7:30 AM or 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary to meet operational needs, though facility will attempt to honor shift preferences
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for (preferably within one location)
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience (travel experience accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Tele unit, with potential exposure to ventilator patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignment length is 20 weeks to provide winter coverage, though 13-week assignments are also accepted
• Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must wait at least 1 year from their prior end date before returning
