Job Summary Production team leaders are responsible for leading and overseeing the production team, ensuring that manufacturing is carried out efficiently and with strict adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities Ensure people and resources are applied efficiently to meet delivery requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards. Ensure team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements. Take initiative to continually improve performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving, and generating new ideas. Ensure all in‑process records are completed timely (e.g., daily checklists). Escalate quality concerns and segregate non‑conforming materials. Ensure team members are aware of production targets and goals. Complete line set‑up each morning prior to team’s arrival. Manage work‑order closures and control transactions to ensure yield calculations, traceability, and accuracy. Monitor change‑over and line‑set‑up efficiency. Verify packaging quality: weights, best‑by dates, country of origin, and container labels comply with specifications before each run. Always understand and follow safety/food‑safety (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Train operators for products and processes within the local team. Provide daily management and support to achieve operational success. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out expectations across the team. Qualifications Proficient in using web‑based portals and ability to learn proprietary software quickly. Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and independent judgment. Detail‑oriented. Ability to manage performance, recognize issues, and problem‑solve. Communicates the need for teamwork and leads with kindness. Ability to delegate responsibilities and provide direction to the team. Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated ability to implement change effectively. FFT ERP (Measure) knowledge preferred, but not required. High School diploma or GED. At least 2 years of prior experience in manufacturing. At least 6 months of supervisory or team‑lead experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
