Water Business Group Director of Owner Advisor Services

As part of our Water Business Group, you’ll help shape how communities manage water for generations to come. From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. Primary Responsibilities Increase HDR OA services market share. Standardize HDR OA services delivery across the business group. Identify and mitigate comprehensive risk related to OA service contracts. Elevate and maintain the HDR OA services brand in the water infrastructure industry. Ensure local operations are actively searching for and pursuing OA services contracts with clients; provide senior oversight and direction in developing OA services marketing strategy and pursuing procurement across the business group. Compile and maintain a comprehensive list of all OA service projects, successes, management and technical approaches, tools and lessons learned. Launch and engage an OA Practice Community to improve statements of qualification and proposals. Promote best‑practice protocols, procedures, and a recommended toolkit across all OA practitioners. Support client and HDR staff education on collaborative delivery models and appropriate use of Owner Advisor. Oversee OA service delivery, ensuring proper risk assignment and consistent application of best practices beyond procurement. Ensure delivery teams employ comprehensive risk identification, mitigation tactics, and understand scope liability associated with design documents, value engineering, and quality control input. Collaborate with Global Counsel to leverage lessons learned and advance OA services domain practices. Elevate HDR’s OA services reputation by winning more contracts and delivering them with standardized processes. Identify, recruit, and integrate top OA delivery candidates into the OA program. Act as the Ambassador of HDR OA services, maintaining market position and distinguishing HDR from competitors. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering, or closely related field. 10 years of experience in a related field. Professional or Engineering registration and related technical experience. Experience developing and managing diverse teams. Collaborative working with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers. Commitment to quality, improvement, and HDR values. Active participation in an employee‑owned culture is a must. The expected compensation range for this position is $144,081 – $274,440, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
