Tax Manager: Lead Client Tax & Team Growth

We are seeking a full‑time, experienced Tax Manager to join our team in the Washington, DC metropolitan region. This position operates as part of a US East Coast‑based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work‑life balance while meeting business needs. Competitive salary range: $120,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Responsibilities Lead client relationships on day‑to‑day tax matters supporting partners with service execution and development of extended services. Plan and participate in tax projects and compliance on various middle market client engagements. Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, ASC 740, and implications to owners. Research and consult on various tax matters, respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, and make recommendations to the client. Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based upon knowledge gained relative to the client's operations, processes, and business objectives. Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with the client to provide superior client service. Team with partners to develop new business opportunities. Train, supervise, and manage staff through counsel, guidance, and coaching. Evaluate performance and participate in performance review process. Manage engagements and projects to achieve specific revenue and profit objectives through the management of the client's budget, invoicing for time incurred and collecting fees billed. Invest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally. Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards.
