Staff Accountant (Waldwick)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join a dynamic, fast-paced organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting activities for assigned business units, including preparing and maintaining profit and loss statements, balance sheets, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting financial schedules. The role will play an integral part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, analyzing financial variances, maintaining fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules, preparing sales tax filings, and supporting audits. Additional responsibilities include preparing management reports, strengthening internal controls, identifying potential financial risks, and assisting with special projects.

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting , with at least one year of relevant accounting experience preferred. Public accounting experience or CPA credentials are highly desirable. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, and familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the initiative to work both independently and collaboratively. Success in this role requires effective communication, sound judgment, discretion when handling confidential information, and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines in a high-volume environment. Flexibility to work additional hours during financial close periods and year-end audits is expected.
