RN Supervisor - Night Shift (4x9-Hour)

This position entails 36 hours a week, consisting of 3 eight-hour shifts and 1 twelve-hour shift. Shift times range between 11 PM - 7 AM (8 hours), 3 PM - 11 PM (8 hours), and 7 PM - 7 AM (12 hours).

Job Description

The RN Supervisor serves as a resource for problem-solving and providing clinical expertise, mentoring and coaching staff, and facilitating patient flow during off shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, for a 180-bed facility. The facility is comprised of five units catering to residents with various diagnoses, including dementia, diabetes, CVA, cardiac conditions, and orthopedic care.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and guidance across five specialized units.
• Facilitate staff mentoring and coaching to ensure quality care.
• Manage patient flow and problem-solve during off hours.
• Work effectively with patients exhibiting violent behaviors in the neurobehavioral unit.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with charge experience required.
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory.
• New York State RN License must be held in hand to submit.
• Knowledge of skilled nursing facility protocols and procedures.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
