Senior Kitchen Manager

Leader of our kitchen teams, this position owns and/or upholds production, planning for volume, product inventory and purchasing, internal and external fulfillment, as well as the overall organization and cleanliness of our spaces. This position will spend 60/40 time in the kitchens and with Administrative responsibilities. This is a full time, salaried position, directly supervising our Kitchen Managers and reporting to the COO. 

While the schedule for the Senior Kitchen Manager can be consistent (Mon-Fri), schedule adjustments may be necessary, on occasion, to ensure all needs are met. 

Responsibilities: 

• Create and maintain culinary standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Manage and lead the kitchen team, including kitchen supervisors, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and consistent execution
• Ensure proper food production (heating and cooling) and storage practices (packaging, labeling, FIFO) in accordance with safe food handling procedures
• Maintain order guides, prep lists, and production pars
• Review and improve cost structures
• Uphold operational systems through training, coaching, and oversight of kitchen supervisors
• Develop long-term production plans for special events and holidays
• Ensure consistent quality control and adherence to culinary standards
• Manage labor costs and lead supervisors; oversee payroll and HR responsibilities
• Support in Hire, schedule, train, conduct performance management, promote, and terminate employees based on business needs
• Manage equipment maintenance and repair
• Manage and maintain the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
• Oversee internal and external invoicing for wholesale products

Requirements: 

• 2 years experience management a kitchen team
• Manager’s Servsafe Certificate or the ability to obtain one
• Flexibility with schedule
• Able to multi-task and adapt to change; self motivated; positive attitude
• Team mentality; able to drive behavior and results in team
• Able to learn and use multiple software systems 
• Solid communication skills; Spanish speaking ability a plus
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
